The Faster Timeline of Modular San Diego Homes versus Site Built Homes
Can USModular really build my San Diego Modular Home faster?
YES! Through our streamlined planning process, efficient construction conditions, and ability to avoid delays because of weather, we are able to build your new dream home in less than half of the time of traditional, on-site constructed homes without sacrificing quality!
Streamlined Planning
USModular can complete your new home faster because we ensure that everything is taken care of before the home goes into production. The construction plans are drafted and set, permits are in-hand, materials are ordered and in stock, and the crew is ready to begin work immediately. Since our prefab homes are not subjected to the extreme San Diego heat, rain, and the elements, we can not only eliminate delays, but can prevent problems such as warped wood, mold, and weather damages during construction!
What is the Normal Timeline for Modular Homes?
The amount of time to build a prefabricated home will vary greatly depending on the size and type of the modular home built. In most cases, the modular home construction process can begin within 4 to 6 months after the necessary building permits are obtained. The typical modular home can be completed within 21 to 30 days from the time the construction permits were obtained.
Within 34 days of completion, the custom new home is transported to the building foundation. The prefab home is then set into the premade foundation and is finished within 4 to 6 weeks from the shipping date. The entire modular home construction process takes approximately 6 – 9 months, from start to finish.
What is the Usual Timeline for Site Built Homes?
Its nearly impossible to estimate an exact length of time for a site built home. So many delays and disruptions can occur because of a number of reasons, and these delays can cause significant extensions in pre-planned timelines. A site built home may leave anxious buyers waiting 12 – 18 months for an inferior project to be completed. This daunting timeframe can leave you with extensively higher costs you had not taken into consideration!
